Legal merger of Beuth GmbH

We are pleased to announce that Beuth GmbH was successfully merged into our subsidiary Wilhelm Ungeheuer Söhne Befestigungssysteme GmbH with effect from August 1, 2025.

With this legal merger, we are pooling our strengths and expanding our portfolio to offer our customers optimized fastening solutions from a single source. For partners and employees, this means even more expertise, efficiency and service quality.

This step strengthens our position as a reliable partner in the industry and lays the foundation for innovative developments and sustainable growth.

WUS Acquires Adam Herr GmbH

WUS to Acquire Adam Herr GmbH on January 1, 2026

As of January 1, 2026, Wilhelm Ungeheuer Söhne GmbH (WUS) will officially take over Adam Herr GmbH and fully integrate the company into the existing organization. The proven products of Adam Herr GmbH are already available from WUS under the “ADAM HERR Linie”.

It is no coincidence that two companies with similar values, working methods, and regional proximity are coming together. Rather, it is the result of mutual appreciation. Andreas Herr, owner in the fourth generation, has decided after careful consideration to hand over his life’s work and retire with his wife.

Christian Diehl, Managing Director of WUS, explains: “We will do our best to continue Mr. Andreas Herr’s life’s work and further develop and expand the company. The lived handshake quality, the friendly cooperation, and the quality of the products are an ideal fit with WUS’s philosophy.”

A look back: Over 115 years of entrepreneurial pioneering spirit

The history of Adam Herr GmbH goes back a long way – more precisely to October 1, 1907, when Adam Herr and his wife Klara founded the Adam Herr wood and metal goods factory in Niederreifenberg. It all began with the production of corset stays and waist fasteners for women’s clothing – an impressive example of entrepreneurial courage and a sense for market needs.

As early as 1909, Adam Herr brought about a small technical revolution in the village: he supplied Niederreifenberg with electricity for the first time, generated from hydropower – a clear sign of a desire for progress.

In 1912, the production of zinc arches was started – a milestone, as this product line still exists today in a further developed form.

Craftsmanship and Change: Product Variety and Quality

In 1925, the production of toilet seats made of beech and oak wood began. The production was carried out in genuine manual work with around 15 employees – the wood required for this was cut and stored in the company’s own sawmill from local forests.

After the currency reform of 1948, the raw material situation eased. From then on, the company concentrated on its core competencies: zinc arches and toilet seats – products that stand for durability and functionality.

Modern Impulses from the Fourth Generation

With Andreas Herr, who joined the company in 1986 after studying engineering in Rosenheim, a phase of technical development began. His experience and innovative spirit led to an expansion of the product range: New, practice-oriented products such as insertion spouts, standpipe caps and numerous in-house developments for tools and devices were introduced into production.

Over all these years, the character of Adam Herr GmbH has been preserved: A down-to-earth, family-run company with a strong team spirit and a high standard of quality.

In October 2022, the company celebrated its 115th anniversary – an impressive milestone in German craft and industrial history.

Together into the Future

With the integration into Wilhelm Ungeheuer Söhne GmbH, a new chapter begins for the Adam Herr GmbH team – with a strong partner at their side and the ambition to further expand product quality, service, and innovative strength.

On Friday, June 13, 2025, everything at our main location revolved around our most important asset: our health. Together with AOK, we organized a health day where our employees were able to participate in a cardio stress test and a back check.

Heart check with resting ECG – to check heart function and for early detection of possible risks.

The back check showed the condition of our back muscles – and how we maintain posture, even when things get stressful.

A heartfelt thank you to AOK for the professional support – and to our team for the active participation and great interest!
Such actions not only strengthen our health, but also our cohesion.
Because: Only those who feel good can deliver top performance.

What makes a strong team? For us, it is the combination of trust, clarity, and the shared desire to develop further.

In a two-day workshop, our team worked intensively on central questions of collaboration – accompanied by Markus Kristen.

In an open, practical atmosphere, we reflected, experimented, and discussed:
How can we act even more effectively as a team? What does performance mean apart from productivity? And how do we strengthen the “we” in everyday work?

Whether in group exercises in the countryside, concrete impulses, or in open exchange – it became clear that good teamwork requires trust, clear communication, and room for development.

WUS at ISH 2025 in Frankfurt am Main

Wilhelm Ungeheuer Söhne GmbH looks back on a successful appearance at ISH 2025, the leading international trade fair for water, heating, and air conditioning. The team was already highly motivated in the run-up: preparations and the construction of the exhibition stand in Frankfurt were in full swing, and the anticipation for personal exchange with trade visitors was noticeably high.

During the fair, the stand in Hall 6.1, Stand B68 was a vibrant meeting point for inspiring discussions, professional exchange, and direct dialogue with customers, partners, and interested parties from Germany and abroad. The latest solutions in fastening systems and pipe fixings, which met with great interest, were particularly in focus.

WUS sincerely thanks all visitors and the team for the positive feedback, the numerous discussions, and the constructive contacts. The dedication of the entire team contributed to making this trade fair appearance a real highlight. After an incredible 28 years at the helm of WUS, we bid farewell to Mr. Andreas Schmidt as he enters his well-deserved retirement. With his dedication, foresight, and tireless commitment, he has significantly shaped our company.

On behalf of the entire team, we thank you for everything you have done for WUS! We wish you all the best for the future – you have more than earned it!

However, with every farewell, something new also begins: Christian Diehl takes over the management and brings a breath of fresh air.

Through his many years of experience in his parents’ wholesale business for sanitary and heating systems, as well as his expertise in industry and production, he brings valuable know-how.

He now brings this expertise to further develop WUS – with a clear focus on flexibility, quality, and reliability.

We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to what lies ahead!

Anniversary in-house exhibition at Kaufmann

To celebrate its 175th anniversary, Kaufmann hosted a special in-house exhibition in Neu-Ulm. Wilhelm Ungeheuer Söhne GmbH (WUS) was pleased to be a part of this special event as a long-standing partner.

The in-house exhibition provided an excellent platform for personal exchange with customers, partners, and industry colleagues. In a pleasant atmosphere, current product solutions were presented, technical discussions were held, and new impulses for cooperation were gained.
