WUS to Acquire Adam Herr GmbH on January 1, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As of January 1, 2026, Wilhelm Ungeheuer S\u00f6hne GmbH<\/strong> (WUS) will officially take over Adam Herr GmbH and fully integrate the company into the existing organization. The proven products of Adam Herr GmbH are already available from WUS under the “ADAM HERR Linie”<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

It is no coincidence that two companies with similar values, working methods, and regional proximity are coming together. Rather, it is the result of mutual appreciation. Andreas Herr, owner in the fourth generation, has decided after careful consideration to hand over his life’s work and retire with his wife. <\/p>\n\n

A look back: Over 115 years of entrepreneurial pioneering spirit<\/h3>\n\n

The history of Adam Herr GmbH goes back a long way \u2013 more precisely to October 1, 1907<\/strong>, when Adam Herr<\/strong> and his wife Klara<\/strong> founded the Adam Herr wood and metal goods factory<\/strong> in Niederreifenberg. It all began with the production of corset stays and waist fasteners<\/strong> for women’s clothing \u2013 an impressive example of entrepreneurial courage and a sense for market needs. <\/p>\n\n

As early as 1909<\/strong>, Adam Herr brought about a small technical revolution in the village: he supplied Niederreifenberg with electricity for the first time<\/strong>, generated from hydropower \u2013 a clear sign of a desire for progress.<\/p>\n\n

In 1912<\/strong>, the production of zinc arches<\/strong> was started \u2013 a milestone, as this product line still exists today in a further developed form.<\/p>\n\n

\n\n

Craftsmanship and Change: Product Variety and Quality<\/h3>\n\n

In 1925<\/strong>, the production of toilet seats made of beech and oak wood<\/strong> began. The production was carried out in genuine manual work with around 15 employees \u2013 the wood required for this was cut and stored in the company’s own sawmill from local forests. <\/p>\n\n

After the currency reform of 1948<\/strong>, the raw material situation eased. From then on, the company concentrated on its core competencies: zinc arches<\/strong> and toilet seats<\/strong> \u2013 products that stand for durability and functionality. <\/p>\n\n

\n\n

Modern Impulses from the Fourth Generation<\/h3>\n\n

With Andreas Herr<\/strong>, who joined the company in 1986<\/strong> after studying engineering in Rosenheim, a phase of technical development began. His experience and innovative spirit led to an expansion of the product range: New, practice-oriented products such as insertion spouts<\/strong>, standpipe caps<\/strong> and numerous in-house developments for tools and devices were introduced into production. <\/p>\n\n

Over all these years, the character of Adam Herr GmbH has been preserved: A down-to-earth, family-run company with a strong team spirit and a high standard of quality.<\/p>\n\n

In October 2022<\/strong>, the company celebrated its 115th anniversary<\/strong> \u2013 an impressive milestone in German craft and industrial history.<\/p>\n\n

With the integration into Wilhelm Ungeheuer S\u00f6hne GmbH, a new chapter begins for the Adam Herr GmbH team \u2013 with a strong partner at their side and the ambition to further expand product quality, service, and innovative strength.<\/p>\n\n
